It is easily reached by car from Florence in about three quarters of an hour. At the bottom of the Contact page you will find the map and directions.
How do I book? Are there any fees?
You book directly with us, with no commission at all: fill in the form on the Contact page, or write or call us by phone or WhatsApp. We reply as soon as possible with availability. Booking directly supports the guesthouse and avoids intermediary fees.
What are the check-in and check-out times?

How does the pay-what-you-wish pilgrims' room work?
The Pilgrims' Castle Room welcomes individual pilgrims and wayfarers on a pay-what-you-wish basis, along the Way of St Francis and the Via dei Monasteri. Linen and towel set rental is €8 per person. The whole room can be reserved by groups (6+ people) and, on request, we arrange dinner.
Are you on the Way of St Francis?
Yes: the guesthouse lies on the second stage of the Way of St Francis from Florence to La Verna, from Pontassieve to Consuma, where lodging is traditionally scarce. We are an ideal stop for walkers, also along the ancient Via dei Monasteri.
Are pets allowed?
Small pets are welcome with advance notice when booking. They are not allowed on the furniture and must be kept on a leash in common areas.
Is the guesthouse suitable for families and children?
Absolutely. Several rooms have bunk beds, ideal for families. Children under 3 stay free; ages 3 to 6 are €10 per night. The area offers activities and excursions designed for adults and children alike.
Is there a tourist tax?
Yes, a tourist tax of €1 per person per night applies. Children under 10 are exempt.
Is there parking?
Yes, parking is available at the guesthouse. If you are arriving on foot along the trail, just let us know and we will give you all the details you need to reach us.
What is the cancellation policy?
